This week we kick off a series all about intellectual property, also commonly known as IP. IP refers to the intangible works of the mind, such as inventions, designs, literary and artistic works, symbols, names, and images used in business. Generally, all companies own some form of intellectual property. Some of the most common types of IP law consist of copyrights, trademarks, patents, and trade secrets. In this episode, I talk about these types of IP and why it’s essential to protect these assets as you build your business.
