Keynote Clarity for Thought Leaders with Jon Cook

What’s the Top Request for Speakers an AV Leader? | Keynote Clarity for Thought Leaders with Jon Cook Flash Briefing

Listen Later

I recently spoke at an event and after my talk, I connected with the head of the audio-visual team to return my mic.
While we were chatting, I asked him that if given the chance to share one request or piece of advice with 100 speakers, what was the one thing he would tell them.
His response? Please build out your slide deck ahead of time. When an event planner or an A/V leader asks for deliverables, make it your top priority to get them what they ask for when they ask for it the first time.
When we think about serving our audience, the first few people we need to serve are the event planner and the A/V team.
By giving them what they need ahead of schedule, you show them that their needs and their schedule matter just as much as yours. That’s a great kickstart that will set you apart from other presenters.
