What's Up in Sharpstown? with The Sharpener

Like many Americans, Tyess Korsmo didn't care much about local news--or any news--until recently. Now he's the editor, publisher, and main reporter at an independent startup news website for part of Southwest Houston. Here's why you should care too--and why Sharpstown needs hyperlocal news.

Tyess is joined by guest host Choice Okonrende, a writer, podcaster, and skateboarding English professor who also didn't care much about local news.

Tyess Korsmo takes full responsibility for the wacky intro and outro music, which is just him messing around on a guitar.

You can read tons of his articles about Sharpstown at thesharpener.org.
