Just before going to the cross Jesus shared with his followers that His soul was troubled. Jesus used the opportunity to teach the proper way to handle our circumstances and view our troubles. He revealed two different perspectives, illustrated it with two different pictures which result in two different promises. In light of Jesus teaching we are taught to reflect His glory in our circumstance rather than asking for Him to rescue us.
