In this message from Matthew 26:26–28, What’s With the Blood?, we’re reminded why the blood of Jesus stands at the center of our faith. From the Passover in Exodus to the Lord’s Supper, Scripture shows that forgiveness, access to God, and freedom from sin all come through shed blood. This sermon walks through how the blood of Christ makes us holy (Hebrews 13:12), gives us confidence to draw near to God (Hebrews 10:19–22), sets us free from sin’s power (Revelation 1:5), justifies us before a holy God (Romans 5:9), and fully pays our debt once and for all through the finished work of Jesus on the cross (John 19:30). As we come to the Lord’s Table, we remember that salvation is not earned but received by faith in Christ’s completed work, and we proclaim His death until He comes again.
