Ebrahim Gabriels is a notable Islamic scholar and community leader from Cape Town, South Africa. He pursued Islamic studies in Medina, Saudi Arabia, earning degrees in Sharia and Theology. Returning to South Africa, he became deeply involved in community leadership. He served as the President of the Muslim Judicial Council (MJC) from 1998 to 2006, where he focused on religious guidance, educational initiatives, and social welfare programs. His leadership extended to the United Ulama Council of South Africa (UUCSA) and the Al Quds Foundation, where he continues to play a vital role.



Gabriels is particularly known for his advocacy for Palestinian rights. He has organized numerous solidarity campaigns and led humanitarian missions to Palestine, driven by his own experiences with apartheid.
