the last couple chapters of “Garden City” by John Mark comer, really hit some things on the head. He talked about the pursuit of identity n the pursuit of status….never ending accumulation of “stuff”. it’s almost like trying to build our own “tower of babel” if you will…. and possibly make a name for our self ? maybe for some, maybe not so much for others.

Work is a great thing. It’s actually the blessing GOD has given us, as an avenue of HOW HE provides for us. The book has helped given me a healthy perspective of my own job, which isn’t too glorious on the outside. But i do see now, it is a way of serving others, and doing its part in this part of the planet.

anyways …. i hope you listen to the end, because our OCCUPATION isn’t our only “work”. if you are a mother, father, husband, wife…. etc… that is a form of work. MARRIAGE, PARENTING…GOD can be glorified when WE DO OUR WORK WELL. HE CAN HELP US ACHIEVE THAT. listen to the end, and be blessed. i love ya world
