In this podcast we take a look at Abhay Sharma's incredible journey as an indie musician based in New Delhi, India, who is a master at playing the saxophone among many other things. He is one of the founding members of The Revisit Project, that began as a Bollywood cover band that "revisited" classics and gave them a 21st century jazz vibe, but for the past few years has been releasing original music that's a mix of Jazz and Funk. Abhay talks about the challenges that an independent musician faces in India, while drawing examples from his own life.

In this episode we look at a director's cut of his own story. Being born and brought up in a small town called Munger in Bihar, India, Devanshu Singh wasn't someone who had seen the life of lights and glamour that one associates the Indian film industry with. Yet, he gained experience under directors like Nikhil Adwani and Vikramaditya Motwane on a lot of their films and has directed comedy sketches like "Honest Weddings" and "Honest Diwali" among many others for All India Bakchod (AIB) in his ever so successful career. Devanshu joined forces with his elder brother Satyanshu to create their debut film "Chintu Ka Birthday" which is a beautiful, innocent, and heartfelt story that took 13 years to make. Grab a drink and get some popcorn as we dive into Devanshu's thrilling story and unravel the challenges and struggles of those 13 years.

Dr. Emanuelle Burton is an ethics professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). She got her PhD in religion and literature and has reshaped the “Ethics and communication in Computer Science” course (CS 377) at UIC in an instrumental way. In this podcast we discuss everything from the formal study of ethics, to Thanos and his ideas, to religion in society, to the boys locker room incident in light of privacy vs transparency.
