Lammas/Lughnasadh is the first of three ancient harvest, festivals marking time along the Wheel of the Year. Usually celebrated around August 1 in the Northern Hemisphere, it’s a cross quarter festival sitting halfway between the Summer Solstice and the Autumn Equinox.
This is the time when the Summer crops are finishing up, but the Fall harvest isn’t quite ready. An in-between moment to say goodbye to the abundance of Summer, pray for a good harvest in the Fall, and celebrate all that is and is to come.
There is power in honor the cycles of nature with around and within us. Join me to dive deeper into the history of Lammas/Lughnasadh as well as its larger implications on our lives.
