A hamlet, between Saranac Lake and Vermontville in Essex County has a new outdoor library. The Bloomingdale Free Library is about the size of a garden shed, but the custom-made, cedar library, which opened just a couple of weeks ago, is the result of some community collaborations. It's housed in the parking lot of Hex and Hop Brewing on Route 3, and is a gift to the community from the owners of Specialty Wood Products.
