we live in a culture obsessed with cutting people off. don’t double text. if they don’t text back in three days, block them. one mistake and suddenly someone is permanently disqualified.

but what happens when we begin treating relationships like courtrooms instead of places for growth?

as a criminal justice reform advocate, i’ve spent years working alongside incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people and witnessing profound transformation in real time. it’s made me wonder: if i believe people are more than the worst thing they’ve ever done, why would love be any different?
