It can be hard to wrap your mind around the fact that sometimes not training can be more beneficial than training. Sometimes. The only danger with recognizing this is that it can be used as an excuse to not put in the work when you least feel like it. There's a difference between being lazy and being fatigued/needing to rest and recover, it just takes a healthy amount of self-awareness to see when is which. In this episode I not only rant about the importance of recovery for injury prevention but the importance of a good pre-season for the same reasons. Sleep took over the episode as the main focus as it is most likely to be the one thing that most everyone struggles with and the one thing I myself have never been able to 100% conquer.
