Some days don’t need answers.
They need a pause.
This week’s meditation is a gentle place to land when everything feels heavy, noisy, or emotionally crowded. It isn’t about fixing what’s wrong or finding clarity — it’s about creating a little space to breathe, soften, and be with yourself as you are.
If life has felt like too much lately, consider this a quiet companion. A moment to stop holding everything together, and let yourself rest — even briefly — inside the breath.
(Use the journal prompts below to get more from your meditation.)
You can also find my meditations on my website, Insight Timer and YouTube
Journal Prompts - When Everything Feels Too Much Meditation
* What feels like too much for me right now, even if I don’t fully understand why?
* Where do I notice emotional heaviness in my body today? What does it need from me — if anything at all?
* If I didn’t have to fix or explain this moment, how might I meet it instead?
* What helps me feel even slightly steadier when life feels overwhelming?
* What would it look like to give myself permission to carry less, just for today?
(You can choose to use them all or just pick one or two.)
Why use these journal prompts?
Journal prompts can be incredibly helpful because they provide a structured way to explore your thoughts and feelings, encouraging deeper self-reflection and personal growth.
By guiding you to consider specific aspects of your experiences, journal prompts help you uncover insights and patterns that might otherwise remain hidden.
They can enhance your meditation practice by allowing you to process and internalise what you've learned, bringing a greater sense of mindfulness and self-awareness.
Through regular journaling, you create a valuable space for self-expression, clarity, and emotional healing, making it an essential tool for personal development and well-being.

“The journey is loving who you already are
You don’t need to become someone else.
You need to come home to yourself.
To that person you’ve always been.
To the parts you hid to be accepted.
You are not a project.
You are already enough.”
