1 Samuel 26–28 show two men moving in opposite directions. David is under pressure, but he keeps learning to trust God. Saul is under pressure, but he keeps moving farther from God. David refuses revenge again. Saul ignores God again. By chapter 28, Saul is so desperate that he looks for answers in a forbidden place.
