When God Rises for You
“Arise, O Lord! Save me, my God! For You strike all my enemies on the cheek; You break the teeth of the wicked.” — Psalm 3:7.
David was surrounded—not just by enemies with swords, but by fear, betrayal, and despair. His own son, Absalom, was after him. Yet even in the chaos, he didn’t seek revenge… he cried out: “Arise, O Lord!”
That’s the prayer of someone who admits: “I can’t win this on my own.”
Many of us today are surrounded too—not by armies, but by pressure, temptation, anxiety, disappointment, and even people who want to see us fail. And here’s the truth: a lot of young people are trying to fight these battles alone—using pride, noise, social media, fake smiles. But there are battles only God can win for you.
When David said “Arise,” he was asking God to rise from what seemed like silence and show His power. It’s as if he was saying, “Lord, show Yourself! Prove You’re still in control!”
And God did. David saw victory before it even happened. That’s why he spoke in the past tense—“You strike… You break…”—as if it were already done. That’s faith.
Faith doesn’t deny the fight. It sees God above it.
Maybe right now, you’re facing invisible enemies: fear of the future, guilt from the past, a secret addiction, loneliness behind your smile. But God is calling you to do what David did—to stop fighting alone and let Him rise for you.
When God rises, fear is silenced.
When God rises, the enemy falls.
When God rises, even the impossible bows before Him.
Right now, wherever you are, pray this simple prayer: “Lord, rise up for me. Save me from the battles I can’t win. I need You.”
No matter how strong the enemy seems—
When God rises, nothing can stand.
