When Jealousy Becomes Persecution
What happens when the pursuit of love becomes entangled with jealousy, power, control, and the struggle for personal freedom?
Drawing inspiration from the biblical account of King Saul's relentless pursuit of David, host Luz explores the unsettling parallels she perceives between that ancient story and her own experiences.
In this deeply personal episode of When Hate Hides Behind Love, Luz recounts her journey from New York to Tampa following her mother's death, a harrowing six-hour drive through Long Island and New York City, and her subsequent relocation to Vermont.
Through her recollections, recordings, and interpretations of recurring events, she examines her concerns about stalking, psychological intimidation, perceived coded communications, and coercive control.
The episode also raises difficult questions about gender, racial inequality, wealth, influence, and the challenges individuals may face when seeking an impartial investigation.
At its heart, Episode 4 is a story of grief, resilience, faith, love, and one woman's determination to preserve her freedom while seeking answers.
Can jealousy masquerade as devotion? Can power become a weapon of possession? And where does love end and control begin?
The King, the Crown, and the Hunted invites listeners into a first-person account of experiences that the narrator believes deserve independent examination.
Because love should never become a prison.

Season One | Episode 4 Prologue
The King, the Crown, and the Hunted: When Jealousy Becomes Persecution
What happens when love turns into resentment, admiration becomes rivalry, and the fear of being replaced fuels a relentless pursuit?
In this compelling prologue of When Hate Hides Behind Love, we journey into the biblical story of King Saul and David, an account of jealousy, power, betrayal, surveillance, and persecution.
Once loved and welcomed into Saul's household, David eventually became the target of the king's growing resentment. Saul used his authority, military resources, informants, and repeated schemes to pursue a man whose growing success he perceived as a threat to his throne.
Through this ancient narrative, we examine timeless questions about human relationships: Why do some people struggle to accept change? When does jealousy become possession? And what happens when a former partner's new beginning is perceived as a personal loss or rivalry?
This episode draws thematic parallels between biblical persecution and modern conversations about stalking, coercive control, abuse of power, personal freedom, and the importance of evidence and justice.
A crown may confer authority, but it never grants ownership over another person's destiny.
📖 1 Samuel 23:14 — "And Saul sought him every day, but God delivered him not into his hand."

Season One | Episode 3: The Record — The Road to Records, The Road to Homelessness
The road to the records also led me to the road to homelessness.
In this deeply personal third episode of When Hate Hides Behind Love, I revisit the events and experiences that transformed my life, taking me from my home in New York to an uncertain new beginning in Vermont.
What began as an effort to document troubling encounters and seek answers became a journey through displacement, financial hardship, concerns about personal safety, and the struggle to rebuild a stable life for myself and my teenage son.
Through personal recollections, recorded observations, and questions I believe deserve independent examination, I share the circumstances surrounding my relocation, the events that preceded it, and the emotional reality of finding myself without a permanent address.
This episode explores the intersection of race, power, possession, personal freedom, and the pursuit of justice.
I have records. I have questions. And I refuse to let homelessness define my story.
The Record is a first-person account of resilience, motherhood, dignity, and the determination to be heard.

WHEN HATE HIDES BEHIND LOVE
Season One — Episode Three: Prologue The Queen, the Pig, and the Shadow
What do Snow White, Animal Farm, and the story of an obsessive pursuer have in common?
At first, they may seem like three completely different stories. But beneath the surface are recurring themes of power, jealousy, control, manipulation, fear, information, and the struggle to maintain autonomy.
In this prologue, the Queen, the Pig, and the Shadow become a backdrop for Episode Three, a lens through which to listen, question, and reflect on what happens when another person's freedom becomes a threat to someone's sense of power.
As you listen to Episode Three when it comes out on Thursday, October 8, 2026, keep these three stories in the background. Listen for the patterns. Listen for the questions. And consider where the line between love, possession, protection, control, and obsession begins to blur.
Not every coincidence is stalking. Not every unexplained event has a hidden explanation. And perception alone is not proof.
That is why documentation, context, and evidence matter.
Three stories. One backdrop. One question: What happens when you cannot control the outcome, so you try to control the person?
🎙️ Episode Three premieres Thursday, October 8, 2026.
Listen critically. Question everything. And most importantly—let the evidence speak.
