Revelation ch. 7 was a break as the writer John pauses talking about Jesus breaking the 7 seals of the scroll to talk about his vision of the Great Commission being fulfilled. But now the break is over, as John picks up where things left off at ch. 6. With the opening of the 6th seal, more judgement is released, leading to the final seal, which does not complete God’s judgement but leads to a 7th seal. But when we read the 7th seal being opened in Rev. 8:1, John says all of heaven became quiet — one of the most powerful scenes in the Bible! Chapter 8 begins in silence and ends with the unleashing of the 7 trumpet judgements. Let’s find out what happens!
