They say that 90% of life is just about showing up. When the people of God came back from captivity in Babylonia, they immediately ran into intense opposition from enemies in the land who did not want them to rebuild anything, including the Temple. But God and even the King of Babylon had given them permission to do so. Yet after years of opposition, many gave up and started working on their own houses and lives. So when we keep showing up and we keep getting defeated, at what point is it okay to quit? In this message from Ezra chapter 5, Pastor Paul tells us that in order to know what to do first, we have to decide on our priorities. And interestingly enough, the church is not our first priority.
