My Favorite Time of Year. I love autumn. It’s a season of colorful carpets crunching beneath my feet, heartwarming family holidays, bountiful harvests, cooling weather, roaring bonfires, and lazy nights beneath the stars, where I can curl up under a blanket to help keep the chill away. It’s also about everything apples. And Wayne County, situated along Lake Ontario, can command any conversation about apples – as they are the largest apple-producing county in the state.
