Is there a difference between speaking to an audience rather than speaking with an audience? You bet there is and it does make a difference at the end of the day. Speaking to an audience is great in building your reputation as an expert in a field. It also places you on top as the expert in the room so to speak on whatever topic you're speaking about. But speaking to an audience instead of speaking with an audience can turn on you. Don't you want the audience to like you? Don't you want them to listen and learn? Making them part of your speech or presentation is so important and it's the easiest and heartwarming thing to do.
