When It Feels Like the Darkness Is Closing In

When it feels like the darkness is closing in…

remember—

“The light is among you… Walk while you have the light.” (John 12:35)

Jesus knew what that felt like.

His heart was troubled.

He was moving toward betrayal, suffering, and death.

So when we feel vulnerable, unsettled, or distressed,

it is not a sign that we have failed.

It does not mean we have done something wrong.

These moments were part of his journey.

And they are part of ours.

When we face the darkness,

even a small light is enough for the next step.

And the Kingdom of Heaven among us

is like a room filled with candles—

light of faith and hope,

of love and joy,

of gentleness, compassion,

patience, and perseverance.

We do not walk alone in the dark.

Let us walk

with the light we have.
