Episode 49 of Gaming Couch! Getting to 50. Yes.
So I finally got a Nintendo Switch and decided to buy Cadence of Hyrule. And HO BOY, it's a game alright. There is a lot to talk about with this game. Both positives and negatives. We'll take the time to really dive into the game and pick it apart. It is both Crypt of the Necrodancer AND Legend of Zelda at the same time so there is plenty to dissect here. It's going to be a long one so strap in kiddies.
Overall, I'd say this game is a good experiment for future games to come. It is an amazing game yet it isn't garabage. A stepping stone if you will. We needed this game to happen so we could have more flushed out games of its type later (Think of what Binding of Isaac did for us. Without it, Crypt of the Necrodancer might have never happened). I'd say wait for a sale to buy it.
Lastly, the cutscene at the end. Cadence isn't home yet at the end of the game. We leave on a stary sky and I got a feeling.....Shovel Knight might be next!
