The kind of worship that doesn’t sound like singing—it sounds like not giving up.
Ever just sit in silence—
Not because you’re peaceful,
But because you don’t even know what to say?
Your thoughts are scrambled.
Your prayers feel dry.
You don’t know whether to cry, repent, or just stare at the wall.
Psalm 88 kind of silence.
“I am counted with them that go down into the pit… lover and friend hast thou put far from me.” (Psalm 88:4, 18)
That hollow, buried feeling.
Like God walked off stage and forgot to say goodbye.
But here’s the thing:
You’re still waiting.
Not because you feel holy.
Not because you’ve got the right words.
But because He is faithful when you’re falling apart.
“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought…” (Romans 8:26)
He hears the groaning.
He bottles the tears.
He draws near—even when you can’t feel Him.
“The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart.” (Psalm 34:18)
No fancy phrases.
No spiritual performance.
Just silence. Surrender. Stillness.
And somehow, that’s worship.
Just holding on.
Just showing up.
Just refusing to let go of the God who never let go of you.
If this spoke to you—don’t scroll past it.
Share it. Forward it. Support the work.
Because there’s someone else sitting in silence right now who needs to know they’re not alone.
