Two of my boys went to a classmate’s birthday party and came home with balloons. One of their other brothers saw the balloons… and immediately burst into tears. Not because he hated balloons—but because they got something fun and he didn’t.

And as funny as that sounds, the truth hit me hard:

We do the exact same thing with God.

When someone else gets:
•A blessing
•A breakthrough
•A relationship
•A promotion
•A miracle

…something in us whispers,
“God… why not ME?”
