Okay but .....

The book was ok but seemed to drag in places. Certainly wasn't one of those books you couldn't put down.

Makes you want to read

I love this author

Great read

Gray's work is consistently wonderful, to my sense of a good read. Its a social history not unlike the work of Ruth Park, about the lesser known folk and their lives.

There are some tremendously poignant turns that must come from some personal experience; hard to image them being created as well as they have been.
