Scripture:
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.” — Psalm 37:23
Life does not always follow the path we expect.
Plans are made. Goals are set. We map out what we believe the future should look like. And then something changes. A door closes. A new opportunity appears. The direction shifts.
In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on Psalm 37:23 and the truth that God orders not just our destination, but our steps.
Sometimes what feels like a detour is actually direction.
What we thought was a temporary shift…
What we assumed was off track…
May actually be the very path God intended all along.
It is easy to trust God when the path is clear. But when plans change and outcomes differ from what we expected, we can begin to wonder if we have missed something.
But God does not lose track of us.
He is not adjusting His plan because ours did not work out. He knows the steps before we take them. The unexpected turns, the closed doors, the new directions — none of it is random in His hands.
If life looks different than you thought it would, this devotional is a reminder that God is still leading. And sometimes, the detour is not a distraction — it is the direction.
