Overview: So how many here today often find yourself going along life-s journey and it seems everywhere you turn the odds are against you- There arises an enemy to cause adversity in life. You know what I mean, it-s as if your standing there all alone surrounded on every side. You feel as whichever way you turn you lose. You have tried and yet every time you find only failure. It seems to you that your whole world is falling apart. Everything you touch seems to turn out bad. Have you ever thought you think that maybe you-re serving the wrong god- Maybe you just Not obeying the word of the one true God. Could it be that your true devotion is somewhere other than with the one true God- Could it be that deep within your life there has risen up a desire to conform to the patterns of the world in which you live- Could it be that you think you-re following the one true God but you got your signals crossed- Satan does that to you, too confuse you. Could it be that God through adversity is truly seeking to get your attention- But look your mind is blocked, you-re not hearing Him speak to you, and your eyes are closed that you fail to see where you-re going- This morning I want us to look to Gideon and what God wanted to show the Israelites. Can we relate to the time we live in, that this world we live in today has likely gone the same way as we see in the beginning of this story- Can we see that by far so, so many are seeking after gods who offer up worldly pleasures, and desires instead of Salvation, an eternal life of peace, joy and love which is only offered through Jesus Christ-
