Evangelism is a risky proposition.  The reaction to the Gospel can be negative and even violent.  Many times the church has been threatened to stop preaching the Gospel throughout the world.  Christians are often told to stop talking about Jesus by the culture and even their own families.  But when Peter and John are threatened and told to be silent about Jesus in Acts 4, they take it to the church who responds with prayer for something specific.
