Ditta Miranda is originally from Jakarta, Indonesia living in Germany for more than 30 years. As a child she studied ballet and folk Indonesian dance forms. She later went on to major in Japanese literature and after that to study Dance at the Folkwang University of the Arts, Germany and since year 2000 to present, she has been performing with the @tanztheaterwuppertal Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch. She is known for her role as the "chosen one" in Pina's "Rite of Spring" and many other solos she choreographed and performed as part of the company's productions.
