After years of talk and testing, autonomous vehicle deployment seems to a reality. Daimler promises autonomous trucks by 2027. Waymo’s fleet of autonomous ride hail vehicles are open for business in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Phoenix, and Austin. Zoox is testing in the Bay Area and Las Vegas. But news of Robotaxis on streets in the Northwest is still scant. As Julia Pickar reports, this could be changing soon.
