When a blind man asks for sight, what does he really expect to receive? Does he hope to merely have his vision restored – or is he hopeful he will be able to see something more?

In Scripture, we read that Jesus Christ gave sight to the blind . . . both to those who had been unable to see since birth as well as the ones who had lost the ability to see at some point in their earthly existence.
