Salvation comes by faith, not by sight. - The Feast of Dedication, or Hanukkah, is based on events that took place after the Old Testament was written, but before Jesus came. It happened during a time when God was not speaking to His people through prophets, and the Greeks were desecrated their holy grounds. It appeared that God had abandoned them. Yet, they knew they had to find a way to honour Him. Likewise, when we can't see God, we need to find a way to walk in faith.
