As we enter the first full week of our 21-day fast, this teaching offers practical encouragement for running well, finishing well, and seeking the Lord without pressure or perfectionism. While fasting increases our capacity to receive from God, the lived experience can often feel weak, messy, or discouraging. But Scripture shows us that weakness is not a disqualification — it’s the very place where grace meets us.
Through the words of David, Paul, and Jesus, we learn how to keep going when fasting feels difficult, how to press on without getting trapped by how we started, how to refocus our attention on God rather than substitutes, and how to rejoice in the nearness of the Lord as He strengthens us.
This teaching also continues our corporate focus as a church family as we ask:
Who is God inviting me to pray for?
And what would it look like to walk with that person toward Him?
In all of this, the invitation remains simple: keep going, keep seeking, and keep your eyes on Jesus — knowing that He delights in our pursuit.
