When Your Yesterday Feels Like My Today
When your yesterday feels like my today,
My mind screams bloody murder, wanting to go hide and cry.
It isn’t easy to manipulate certain words and catch phrases accordingly.
In fact, I think I still have that ancient recording of me…
…feeling happy and aware.
Still, my yesterday haunts me today, while yours [possibly] went away.
If time could stand still a second longer, would I have enough energy to wander, ponder?
When you feel my yesterday affecting your mindset and well-being today,
Just remember the pain I stuffed on your tray.
Eventually, we all will have to go away so the stray can live and witness another beautiful day.
