What if you could predict problems in your story before you ever wrote it?! Your steps to writing a great premise: 1) make a wish list. 2) look for possibilities. 3) look for problems you might encounter in the story. 4) find a designing principal. 5) pick the best character. 6) look for your conflict. 7) look for the hero’s basic action. 8) find their character change. 9) look for the eventual moral choice. 10) gauge audience appeal.
Special thanks Peter Leppard with True Brit Audio for the intro and outro! And John B for spot reading.
