The Democratic Party is in a deep hole, largely of its own making. The leadership is sclerotic, listening to the same consultants who got us into this mess. We have forgotten how to communicate, too terrified of putting the wrong foot forward and appearing politically incorrect. Regular people (not “everyday Americans,” as too many candidates annoying call them) are looking at us and don’t recognize the party that once stood for the working guy.
