In Luke 17, ten men suffering from leprosy cry out to Jesus for mercy. All ten are healed—but only one returns to give thanks. Jesus asks a piercing question: “Where are the other nine?”

This true story invites us to examine our own hearts. It’s easy to receive God’s grace yet forget to respond with gratitude. Like the nine, we can quickly move on from God’s blessings without acknowledging the One who gave them.

As we reflect on this passage, we’ll explore how to guard against taking grace for granted and learn what it means to live with a heart that continually remembers and gives thanks for what Jesus has done.
