Where do new comic readers come from? From listening to interviews with comics creators, reading comments from comic readers, and seeing trends, I can point to three moments that brought new comic readers into the world. In order, they are:

• The GI Joe TV commercial
• The Saturday morning X-Men animated series
• The Borders-era Manga boom

I'll talk about all of those and bring you some fun nostalgic audio along the way.
