For the past 2 weeks I’ve been on campus (MSMU) working as a orientation leader for the incoming freshman class of ‘25. My experiences with connecting, getting to know parents and students, and also giving pointers to the 1st Gen breakout session has been a terrific time. On this episode I talk about Father’s Day, my experience as a orientation leader, and I give out advice for college students who are part of the 1st generation group. 1st generation student means that neither your parents have completed a 4 year college degree.
