Matthew 2:13-23  

The parts that don't normally make it into our Christmas plays are the events in Matthew 2.  There we read of Mary fleeing into the night with her baby Jesus, faced with fear, a killing machine at her heels and years of disappointing anonymity.  The story line has many parallels with what the Ukrainians are facing in these days.  

Where is God and what are his purposes when the unexpected, disappointment and even tragedy strike?  Matthew 2 v 13-23 give us some much needed insight!
