Jesse Galganov is a Canadian citizen and student who attended an American university on the east coast, Wesleyan University (in Connecticut). After graduating, he embarked on a post-grad solo trip to South America. He went to Peru to backpack the famous Santa Cruz trail and was going to go to Southeast Asia after that before heading home to attend med school at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He spent his entire summer researching and mapping out his travels. He is described as an experienced traveler and responsible, smart guy.
