For several years, Pope Francis was a sort of mystery. Often, his statements are unclear. Sometimes, he would write something, and then a few days later would say something that opposed the written statement. That tendency made people scratch their heads and wonder which statement reflected his real opinion.
As time has passed, Francis’s actions have answered many such questions.
This episode of The Return to Order Moment will look at three of those actions. We will look first at the Pope’s recent tour of Canada. Then we will consider the welcome that he accorded Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi in Rome. Finally, we will examine his curious support for the atheist and communist government of Cuba.
In each case, Pope Francis displays his affection for leftist positions in opposition to the traditions of the Catholic Church.
