By now, most everyone has heard about the article from The Atlantic that says President Trump said harsh words about members of the military. He apparently called them names and said that he does not understand why anyone would join the military. Anonymous sources were cited as evidence to prove this happened, with 4 other media outlets coming out saying they also have confirmed this happened.
What's the issue? There really is no evidence. Anonymous sources are not guaranteeing that these events took place. When you look at the track record of The Atlantic, there's not really proof that they would be unbiased in their reporting. The close relationship of the organization to the Biden campain raises a lot of questions.
Anonymous reporting is essential to journalism, but requires proof to back up the accusations that are made. Someone must label opinion as opinion if there is no evidence to back it up. One has to remember the Russia investigation. All of the claims of evidence in this case were made, but there was no evidence to prove that Trump did anything.
Other articles have come out and claimed things without being true as well. There is one article that claims the Trump campaign is broke, but the FEC filings show a different story. More stories share that Trump has had a stroke or mini stroke based on edited video footage, all of which cannot be proven true.
Jared shares how he has no issue holding Trump accountable for this if there is evidence. No President should talk about the military as President Trump did. They deserve much more respect than this. If we are going to hold Trump accountable, we should hold Democrats, like Nancy Pelosi, accountable for their actions as well. She should not be given a free pass due to her position either.
Jared ends the show talking about integrity and how that is one of the things at the forefront of his mind with his podcast and the website, The Liberty Loft. Integrity is important and a lot of organizations are forgetting that lately.
