Where It's Always Autumn

Jake and I are back sharing another one of our adventures with you that ended with us being stranded on an Island in a lightening storm. We also cover what Type 2 fun is, and let me tell you- it's not always that fun, but we just keep coming back for more!

We invoke the "#devilwoman" one more time to bring some light to these "dark" topics of Magick and Witchcraft. Is it everything scary we've been told or just all things whimsical and Harry Potter? We'll dive into changing our lives and reality by changing our thoughts and energy. We look back on old fears surrounding women educated and skilled with nature, plants, medicine, and the acceptance that we are all connected and house powerful energy- aka Witchcraft while also jumping forward and looking at Quantum Physics- aka the study and concept that EVERYTHING is just energy. Somewhere in between all that Magick fits in!

A very non-religious, open talk about Paganism, Earth Centered Beliefs, and deciding if I’m a #devilwoman or not. We look back into History, my personal spiritual experiences, and negative stereotypes for this celebration of the Cycles of the Year and Earth.

How many times have we said out loud to ourselves, family, or co-workers- “I just don’t have time to get sick right now!” As if it’s a total inconvenience that is going to set us back, take away from our lives, slow us down. What we’re really saying is “If I do get sick, I do not have the time to get better.”

I was hoping we might be able to get through episodes without bringing up the obvious- the Covid 19 Pandemic. But. I think we all realize it isn’t going anywhere and many of us have found ourselves at home with a schedule and routine that’s upside down. In this episode we cover what it’s like (at any time) working from home and tips to ensure you’re being productive, staying healthy, not burning out, and taking advantage of all the perks working from home can bring- like working any time, anywhere. We’ll also chat about how to make the most of your day, even if you’re not working. Here are some tips to stay inspired, motivated, and happy regardless of your situation.

This episode is the first of a mini series within this podcast called The Seekers Of, which will always be me and my husband Jake chatting about our wildest adventures, biggest lessons learned, and funny memories along the way. In this episode we talk about where it all began- our very first hike together on Chimney Tops Trail for our Honeymoon in the Great Smoky Mountains. It’s a process of self discovery through asking yourself the right questions about how you’re living your life. I chat with you about What self care looks like for me, you, Who should be practicing self care, Where and When to practice, and most importantly WHY. After this episode you will see how meaningful self care is, which makes incorporating it into your daily routine that much easier and exciting.

At 17 I started dating my now husband, Jake, who would forever influence the way I see creativity and how it can be the driving force to my life. Realizing you can create any life you want opens up a gateway of possibilities, which allowed us to build our own home, start our own businesses, and dream big. But creativity, paired with too much dreaming, too much talking, less doing, and lack of personal purpose took away our sanity. We talk the good, bad, beautiful, easy, fun, and hard of our life together as creative dreamers.

I want to start this podcast by introducing myself and telling the story of where I came from and why I'm here with you now. I tell how I fought to build a business on my own to only find myself burnt out, emotionally and creatively suppressed, and lost. I open up about my messy journey of self discovery, finding balance, and reconnecting with nature. I share about my last break down, why I asked for help, and how signing up for 3 months of Life Coaching saved my sanity.

I dive into how Meditation was the best self discovery tool ever and helped me find my truth along with making me feel safe, at peace, whole, inspired, and alive again.
