We shine a light on the students who are turning their academic interests into real-world experiences – through clubs that align with their majors.
These clubs are more than extracurriculars, they’re also launchpads for growth, collaboration and confidence. You’ll hear firsthand stories from students and faculty advisors across PennWest’s campuses who share how these organizations help build community, sharpen skills and open doors.
Today's guests include:
Dana Wenner is a senior Chemistry major at PennWest Clarion, specializing in Biochemistry with a minor in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Dana leads the American Chemical Society club and works as a lab assistant in the chemistry department.
Dayton Ridgeway is a junior majoring in Fisheries and Wildlife Biology at PennWest University. He serves as president of the campus Fly Fishing Club and is an active member of the Wildlife Society.
Dr. Greg Davis is an associate professor at PennWest University and a leader in music technology education. He oversees the PennWest California Audio Engineers & Producers Club and mentors students through hands-on learning.
Madison Wakefield is a junior Speech-Language Pathology major at the Edinboro Campus. She serves as the Congress Representative for NSSLHA.
Caitlyn Egan is a senior at PennWest California majoring in Criminal Justice with a focus on Forensic Investigation. She now holds leadership roles in multiple organizations, including the Criminal Justice Club.
