Brianna has dedicated her platform to promoting the PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association) and educating the public about rodeo traditions and values. Her year has been packed with events, travel, and community engagement, as she proudly represents Florida at rodeos and public appearances nationwide.
Today’s guest on Where Rodeo Meets the Road is McKardy Kelly, the reigning Miss Rodeo Utah 2024! Known for her warmth, grit, and dedication, McKardy has had an impressive journey that includes titles like Utah High School Rodeo Queen and National High School Rodeo Queen. Beyond her skills in the arena, she’s passionate about promoting rodeo and inspiring younger generations. Along with her rodeo queen duties, McKardy actively raises awareness for mental health, championing kindness and understanding through her platform.
With an eye toward a future in Agricultural Communication, McKardy embodies the spirit of rodeo and the importance of community in all that she does, and we’re thrilled to have her join us to share more about her story, her ambitions, and life in the queen’s boots.
Today on Where Rodeo Meets the Road, we’re thrilled to have Océane Veilleux, the 2024 WPRA Resistol Rookie of the Year in barrel racing! Océane's journey to this title has been one of both triumph and resilience. Starting the season strong, she qualified for her first major event at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, even reaching the semi-finals. However, her season took a tough turn when her top horse, Ice Cream, suffered a tendon injury that put him out for three months. Despite this, Océane powered forward, finishing her rookie season with an impressive lead. Hailing from St. Alfred, Quebec, and now studying at Texas A&M-Commerce, Océane has shown dedication, grit, and true rodeo spirit. We can’t wait to hear her inspiring story and get a glimpse into what’s next for this rising star.

Katelyn’s journey to the top began with childhood trips to Rodeo Houston, where she fell in love with the sport. Today, she oversees everything from the grand entry to the nightly concerts, ensuring the seamless production of this iconic event. With nearly a decade of experience at Rodeo Houston, including roles in the Education Department and as interim Director of Membership, Katelyn’s leadership and expertise have been crucial in shaping the rodeo experience for both competitors and fans alike.

With major wins under his belt, including victories at the Reno Rodeo and Ellensburg Xtreme Bulls, Hayes has shown incredible grit and determination. Despite battling injuries, he's fought through and is now ready to take on the best bulls in Las Vegas.
