Where Should You Run

Over the summer, I attended Podcast Movement, a conference for podcasters. While I was there, someone (I can’t remember who exactly!) said this quote and it caught my attention.
The entire entertainment industry is running toward where lightning just struck, and it’s poison.
For example, the criminal justice section of the podcast industry is blowing up. Now, several podcasts are doing well, and I do appreciate the mindset of creating content in an area where success seems imminent, but it’s not a guarantee.
I invite you to think of it like this. Instead of running to wherever the next hot thing is, reflect on where you belong. Where should you run to? Where should you plant your flag? Where do your passions and strengths intersect?
