He believes music is a gift from God, and should be done for His glory, and to uplift the soul towards God. He believes in the positive spiritual, mental and emotional effects of music, that it is sometimes for calm and relaxation, sometimes for inspiration, sometimes for concentration, sometimes for hope in dark times, sometimes for healing, and sometimes in exaltation of the divine. He believes musical ability is born of the love for music and not mere talent, and the rest is down to discipline and perseverance in the pursuit of excellence for the sake of the love of music, and not merely to exalt the self, or personal praise or recognition.
