True Spirit of Christmas
It's important to take time to appreciate Christmas and everything that we are thankful for. This book is a great reminder of what Christmas is all about!
Cute story for all ages
What a great little story to use to teach the true meaning of Christmas! A great book for ALL generations.
Where's the Christmas Angel
Two of my grand children are at the age where they are learning to read, and I was looking for some children's books to supplement this process. Since this was to be a Christmas gift, I wanted a Christmas related story. I wanted more than a story of opening gifts placed under the Christmas tree by Santa. I wanted something dealing with ideas that were important to me: families coming together, spreading joy and peace by helping those who are in need, and conveying the true spirit of Christmas.
When this book was brought to my attention, I was intrigued with the title. The concept of Christmas Angels would fit nicely with what I wanted to impart to my grandchildren. When it arrived and I began to read it for myself, I was pleasantly surprised. Not only was it well written and illustrated, but it had a good and interesting storyline. It is about a young boy (Andy) who learns the joy of helping and giving to people in need as he searches for the missing Christmas Angel. The book is written, I would guess, for the third grade level, but it has a free audio download version that can be used for those who are visually impaired or not reading at that level. Once downloaded, it can be played on a computer, or burned to an audio CD for playback later, in the car, home, etc.
This is a good book which will provide many opportunities for discussion as the story is shared. I highly recommend it.
Read to the children every Christmas Season
A fantastic message you can provide your young children (and grand children) every year -- the spirit of doing things for others is a gift. This story/book will be a yearly tradition with our children and we will get them to add their own examples of what they have done for others. Cant wait to have more grandchildren so we can read/discuss with them!!! By the way -- even though the message and teaching are for the wee ones, the adult readers will also be challenged to provide real examples for the kids!
Great Book!!!!
The Christmas Angel is a book that should become a holiday tradition for every family to read. This is a great book to purchase for children and passed on from generation to generation. Something everyone will enjoy!!!
