How competency trumps diversity, but when we call for diversity, some think we mean to do away with competency. I use the example of Hannah Mouncey, who wants the right to play, as a trans woman, in Australian footballs top level. This whole episode started with a thought about the need for diversity in the work place. I remembered reading an article on the work Hannah Mouncey is doing, and that was where thought and memory came together.

It's true! I am a racist! But not in the most common of definitions. This is not an offensive piece I promise, unless you are of the patriarchy, then this will likely offend you.

 

This all stemmed from a thought I had, about how I grew up in a racist environment. After that initial thought, the rest came from nowhere.

Don't worry, I don't actually think all children should starve. Thought I'd play the oldest trick in the book and say something controversial to entice you in. What do you know? All isn't as it appears. Now where have I seen something like this before? I know! F**king everywhere!

 

Its a sorry state of affairs to live in a world where starvation is only a problem, when it's a problem for you. So here's me addressing it. Written after a thought occurred to me.
